What do you and Wrigley have in common?

You may have seen Wrigley’s story in the local media recently. What you may not know is how you helped to make him a media star and why we need your continuing support to keep the success stories at our shelter coming.

Acting on a tip this summer, police found Wrigley and his seven-week-old littermates closed up in a garage with their mother. Confined without food or water, they desperately needed medical attention.

Officers brought these beautiful dogs to the Portsmouth Humane Society’s shelter, where they received immediate treatment and ongoing nurturing care. By the time the puppies were healthy and ready for adoption, a line had formed at the shelter’s doors!

Eager adopters took Wrigley and his brothers and sisters into safe, loving, permanent homes.

You helped ensure a happy ending for Wrigley. He – and thousands of other lost, stray, abandoned, and abused animals – had a safe place to go because Portsmouth Humane Society supporters like you keep our doors open day after day, month after month, year after year with your generous donations.
