Hello!!!! My name is Emily and I am the new Volunteer and Communications Manager at Portsmouth Humane Society. I am so excited to be here to help all the amazing animals at PHS find homes! I can’t wait to meet everyone that is already making a huge positive impact to all the animals that are in our care.
I previously worked for Portsmouth Humane Society in 2008 as an animal care technician, I loved working with the dogs and cats and helping them find forever homes. I was a foster failure while I worked here, and adopted a dog named Point. After I left Portsmouth Humane Society I moved to California and worked at an animal rescue for about a year and half before going to work at an animal clinic to learn more of the medical aspect.
Now I’m back at PHS where I’ve always felt like I belonged and I am so excited to be back!! I can’t wait to get some fundraising events going and getting furever homes for all the lovely dogs and cats we have here! If you have any questions for me you can always send me a message or give me a call.
